EpocCam

There is much to like about the Kinoni Oy-developed app EpocCam. The first and main thing you are going to like about it is the sort of functionality the app has to offer. What does the app do? To put it bluntly, it allows you to stay in touch with friends, family members, loved ones, and anyone else you need to stay in touch with, even though you do not have a webcam. The app is a properly good replacement for your webcam – you can video chat with others by using your iPhone as the webcam.

Another thing you are going to like about this app is the fact that by using it you don’t get blurry, not very good looking images – quite the opposite. It’s as if you’re using a top quality webcam. Yet another thing you are going to like is the fact that EpocCam is compatible with the most popular messenger-type applications out there, including Skype and Windows Live Messenger.

Getting started with the application is a fairly simple process – which is yet another thing you are going to like about it. What you have to do is install the EpocCam app on your device, install the EpocCam Windows drivers on your PC, ensure that your iPhone and your PC are connected to the same WiFi network, and then start the EpocCam app and the EpocCam Viewer (or another webcam-enabled application).

There are two more things you are going to like about this app. The first one is that you have choices – there’s an EpocCam app for iOS, a version for Android, and a version for Nokia smartphones. So no matter what smartphone you have, you can enjoy the functionality EpocCam has to offer. The final thing you are going to like about EpocCam is that it is offered free of charge (please note that there’s also a Pro version that costs money).
